Our story
A small motel on a good piece of beach
The Windswept has been sitting on the sand at 1008 Ocean Avenue since 1976. We’re new here, having taken over for the 2026 season, but the idea is staying the same: an easygoing beachfront motel where families come back summer after summer.
There’s not much to reinvent when the ocean is your front yard. The pool is out back, parking is out front, Jenkinson’s and the boardwalk are steps from our doors, and the beach is right outside. Many guests have booked the same week for years, and we plan to give them every reason to keep doing that.
What matters to us is simple: clean rooms, an easy stay, and a familiar team in the office when you call or check in. The rest is waiting right outside.
The location
Point Pleasant Beach
Point Pleasant Beach is a classic Jersey Shore town with a working boardwalk, a strong food scene, and ice cream within walking distance. Jenkinson's runs the length of the boardwalk with rides, an aquarium, and arcades.
From the motel, the sand is at the front door and the boardwalk is a five-minute walk. Rooms come with queen or double beds, with ocean or water views in select rooms. Every room has A/C, mini fridge, cable TV, and free WiFi. The pool runs in season. Parking is always free.
Beachfront access, a pool out back, and Jenkinson’s just steps away.
